Newly Organized ScrapSpace

Ok so I am one of the most organized OCD freaks when it comes to work spaces. At work my desk is rarely messy and when it is it's not for long, I never leave a thing out of place on my desk when I go home at the end of the day. My scrap space is no different. I won't sit down to start a project or LO if I know I won't be able to finish and clean up before I step away from my desk. I haven't been back into scrapping for very long, and just recently acquired an actual space to scrap in, so the progress is coming along alot slower than I'd like it to, but it's getting there! This is my space so far ...

Here is a shot of my whole space, I have a "rope" type system where I hang my recent LO's for inspriation, this was also a recent purchase that I'm just absolutely in love with.

This is where I store my paper, embellies, stencils, Cuttlebug & embossing folders, printer, envelopes, etc. This is the part that needs more organization. The 2 pink bins are for paper scraps, the top drawer is for patterned paper scraps and the bottom drawer is for plain cardstock scraps. The stack on top of the pink bins is all my paper mixed together. I need better paper organization. And my embellies are just all tossed in one of those khaki bins (the middle one to be exact).
The white 3 drawer storage bin is where I store my stamps, ribbon, flowers and alphas. The big bottom draw is where my alpha's hang out and I'm ok with that. The middle drawer is where my ribbon, flowers, decorative tape are stored. The top drawer is where all my stamps and stamp pads are stored. Sitting on top is where all my punches and paper cutters are stored.

This is my new button/brad storage and I'm in LOVE! I went to ikea and purchased 2 shelves, and some storage jars. I seperated the buttons (my favorite embellie) out by color on the brown shelf, also my 7gypsies stamps and glitter are stored here as well. The top bar shelf is where my brads are stored by color as well. This spot of my space makes me so happy!

Here are some upclose pictures of the buttons/brad storage! :)

Now to get the rest of my office organized!! Who wants to help!?!

Twenty-Eight Faves at 28!

Ok so a while back on ScrapFreak we had a conversation about our 30 before 30 lists and it got me thinking that I need to sit down and do one. But then I came across a page on a scrap forum where she did her favorite things from that year so I decided to lift it. That way when I look back on my life as a 28 year old I could remember what I liked to do back then!

So ... here it is!!

State Fair of Texas

Every year my husband and I have a tradition to go to the fair. We went yesterday and had a great time as usual. Every year they have a contest to see who gets the fair food for the year. This year Fried Frito Pie was voted as the best fair food of 2010. We tried it and really enjoyed it, it was basically just fried chili but it was delish. It's a MUST to get a Fletcher's corn dog while you're at the fair, so we also got one of those. I decided to be bold and try the new jalapeno and cheddar one, while Aaron stuck with the original. Since I'm not a huge fan of hot dogs, the jalapeno cheese one was perfect for me. We walked around the fair a little, walked around in some of the booths and exhibits, walked thru the car show and just soaked in all the fair goodness. Before we left Aaron and I shared a funnel cake. Mmmm! Can't wait till next year, too bad it's only once a year!

I decided to use the Sassy Lil Sketches 10.7 sketch to document our trip to the fair. Go visit them and give it a go! Come on, ya know you wanna!!

Here's my take on it!

Now... Let me share my project with you!  Each DT has a theme to focus their project and my theme is Digital ...

I am what you would call a newbie digital scrapper. A good friend of mine would always post her digi layouts on FB and I would always Ooo and Aww over them. I finally one day decided to take an effort and research some programs. Another friend recommended Creative Memories Storybook Creator 3.0 to me. I purchased it and have been in love with it ever since! It's very user friendly and there are SO many downloadable freebies out there it's unreal! If you ever have any digi questions feel free to ask away! :) I'll always be happy to answer any questions to the best of my knowledge!

The journaling reads: This was the first year that Aaron and I carved a pumpkin together as a couple. It was a lot of fun! Our original idea was to do a longhorn themed pumpkin. I drew out the longhorn and started to cut it out, when i realized that I had it all wrong. So instead of trying it again, we just free handed on the other side of the pumpkin. He's cute!

I challenge all you ladies to ...
*journal around the border of the paper
*use at least 5 patterned papers
*use at least one button
*use at least one flower

You have until Tuesday 9/28 to post your comment and link

(Your secret word is WITH!)

Thanks for joining and us hope you had fun!!!
