Sketch #7

Last weeks Hot Summer Nights Challenge was in 2 parts. You had the sketch and then you had 4 "must-haves" that you had to include. SUPER fun!! Can't wait for this weeks challenge, come play along at Scrap Chicks!

Here is the sketch:

And the 4 Must-Have's:

MUST HAVE #1: Take this sketch and flip it around or turn it on it's side!
Must Have #2: Either distress the circles OR the rectangles, but NOT both.
Must Have #3: Use at least two different colors--ink, mist or paint.
Must Have #4: Your title must be different fonts and and at least 2 different colors.

July Hen Party Friday's

This month was a month chalked FULL of fun challenges over at Scrap Chicks. I got 2 cards and 2 layouts made!!

7.1 Challenge - Red, White & Blue

(In honor of the 4th of July I challenge you to create a project/card/layout using Red, White and Blue as the main colors. It doesn't have to be Independence Day themed, but I would like to see at least 1 star included) 

Here is what I came up with ...

7.8 Challenge - Tool Time

(For today's challenge it is time to wipe the dust off those tools we never use!! Yeah get out your sizzix, cuttlebug, cricut, crop-a-dile, xyron and whatever you might have and use it to create a LO, card or altered art!)

I used my Cricut (for the letters that I misted over), I used my cuttlebug to emboss, I used my new sewing machine, my corner rounder and my distresser

7.15 Challenge - I love your Shoes!

(This week's challenge is to take a pair of shoes/sandals/boots and use that as your inspiration for a layout/card/project. Please post a photo of the shoes as well.)

Sassy Lil Sketches Design Team Reveal

I'm so freakin' excited!! I made the card DT over at Sassy Lil Sketches again!!! I'm so super stoked to be on this team for another term, these girls are amazing to work side-by-side with and we have a ton of newbies as well who are beyond talented!!

We are so excited to announce our new Sassies, but before we do we would like to just let in on a few of the changes you will be seeing on both Sassy Lil' Sketches blogs.   Starting in August, we will be revealing new Sassy Lil' Sketches on Tuesdays and Sassy Lil' Card Sketches on Thursday. "Switch it Up"  Saturday will premiere on  Sassy Lil' Sketches in August, too!  

A few of our Sassies are not returning this coming term. 

We will definitely miss their talent, but wish them the best!

7.8 Hen Party Friday

Every friday over at ScrapChicks we have a new challenge, for this challenge it is time to wipe the dust off those tools we never use!! Yeah get out your sizzix, cuttlebug, cricut, crop-a-dile, xyron and whatever you might have and use it to create a LO, card or altered art! Make sure when you post your work that you let us know what TOOL you used!

Summer Camp Crop

Oh My Gosh how fun!!!

Two weeks from today we're going to have a crop over at Scrap Chicks. Who doesn't love scrapping and a camp? Come on you know you want to join in! It'll feel like you're 5 again!

We're going to have some awesome challenges, a cool project and a few games!

July 10 on 10

For those of you who don't know about the 10 on 10 project you can check it out HERE!!

10am: Woke up and headed to the donut store for breakfast

 

11am: Getting prepped to paint the bedroom!

12pm: Working on some crafts for the bedroom redo

1pm: Spray painting some art for the bedroom redo

2pm: Altering a little birdhouse for the bedroom redo

3pm: Finally stopped and took a lunch break

4pm: Getting the frames ready to hang

5pm: working on my photo and art wall

6pm: Bedroom done! ... well almost, we still have to paint the trim and I have 1 more piece of art to make

7pm: FINALLY sitting down for the 1st time today. Having a quick bite to eat while we watch Big Brother and 2 episodes of True Blood then a much needed early bed time
