YAY!!

I won my first ever badge for ScrapFreak!!! I completed 7 of the Luau challenges so I was able to win a badge and I'm SUPER pumped!!! :) here it is

TONS of scrappin' done!

Wow, I got a LOT of layouts done this weekend!! DH was gone down south to float the river for a guy's trip for his birthday weekend so I had absolutely nothing to do other than scrap. So I participated in the Luau Crop. Here are all of the layouts that I got done!! :) It was alot of hard work, but it was a ton of fun!!

Luau Crop - ScrapFreak

Well I have been scrappin' away! To catch up to the Luau Crop that started last weekend. Here is what I've done so far ...

This one was for the recipe challenge, you had to take a recipe for the blue hawaiian and incorporate the "ingredients" into your layout. So here is mine! I also submitted this same layout for the banner challenge.

This one was for the card sketch, this was the inspiration and my take on it

First Homemade Card

Well I decided to attempt to make a homemade card for Father's Day. I was very nervous about this but decided to go in full force. I'm pretty proud of how I did and what I was able to accomplish with this being my first time. Here it is :)




I cut several different patterned papers and pasted them together, and used my scalloped scissors to make the blue edge that connected the 2 patterened papers. I used buttons, yarn, did stitching around the edges and doodling. The letters were american crafts glitter stickers and I LOVE them!

Hubby's Birthday

Well today is my WONDERFUL dear husbands 28th birthday! Just wanted to wish him the BEST birthday ever! :)

Tonight's plans are probably dinner and a movie since that's his favorite thing to do is the movies! We're probably going to see A-Team. Hope it's a good'n!

After that probably work on some more scrappin' challenges. I'm a little behind with all the stuff goin' on around the house lately. Since DH is going away on a "boys" birthday weekend hopefully I'll be able to get some done.

I'm going to attempt my FIRST ever card this weekend for my daddy for sunday. Wish me luck!! Well I lied, I made my own Christmas Cards last year, but I don't count that :)

Well I had quite a tough time with this weeks sketchy thursday challenge. I have been so busy this week that I completely forgot about it until tonight so I rushed to complete it so I could get it posted, so I'm not 100% thrilled with this layout.

Freaky Friday Design Challenge

This month's Design Challenge is "Colorless" ... The design challenge was to create a layout using black and white or sepia colored pictures.

Cross Wall

For a few years now I have been wanting to start a cross wall and just never had the idea of how to go about doing it or where to even buy them. It seems like they are becoming more and more popular here so cross' are more available at the stores and easier to find now. So for the past month or so I've been collecting a few here and there and finally had enough to hang up as the START of my cross wall. I'm super proud of it and like how it turned out. I can't wait to go shopping for more to add to it!

I'm so happy with the way my living room looks now, it looks like a completely different room. Doesn't look like a bachelor pad anymore, looks homey and cozy. Now just to buy an entertainment center and a new ceiling fan and that room will be COMPLETE! Then to tackle the master!!

Sketchy Thursday Design Team Challenge

Sketchy Thurdsay Challenge

This week's challenge was to "get a little dirty" which is kind of hard to do as a digital scrapper but I did the best I could, here is my take on it ....

NEW FURNITURE!!

Yeah baby! The furniture FINALLY came in! I was expecting to get my couches today but wasn't expecting the tables till mid July so that was a VERY pleasant happy surprise! :) I still have a little bit of decorating to do in the living room, like hang my cross wall. I have several crosses that I'm going to make into a wall collage. THEN my next project to tackle is our very ugly barren Master bedroom.

New Blog

Howdy, well I started a new blog today because the other one was listed under my business email and it was too hard to keep up with non business things on that email so I switched to my personal. So I have to start all over!

I've never been a blogger before so I'm not sure what to say/do here so I'm probably the most boring blogger you'll come by. So I apologize! I don't really think anyone's going to read this anyway. So I'm basically just talking to myself like an online diary lol.My day consisted of work as usual, BLAH .... then got home worked a little bit on a layout and then went to a jewelry party at a local costume jewelry store. Got a new purse and a new necklace that I'm just in LOVE with! Now here I am bloggin' and scrappin' and surfin' the ScrapFreak forum.
